The Ecology Diaries is my way of documenting and sharing the minor and major changes that occur in my surrounding environment throughout the year.

I live around Newcastle on the east coast of Australia, and in this blog I plan to take photos and describe the changes in the local flora and fauna as the months and seasons change. Perhaps a good way to think of it is as a calendar of the environment, whether it be the moment when the Jacarandas start blossoming in November, when the cicadas start chirping in February or the first frost appears overnight in May.
